Local students make honors lists

Brandy Hansen of Ekalaka was recently named to the Dickinson State University President’s List for the Spring 2024 semester.

Eligible students must be enrolled full-time and have a minimum semester grade-point average of 3.9 or higher in order to be named to the President’s List at DSU.

The university’s mission is to provide high-quality accessible programs, promote excellence in teaching and learning, support scholarly and creative activities, and to provide services relevant to the economy, health and quality of life for the citizens of North Dakota.

Tyra O’Connor, also of Ekalaka, was recently named to the Spring 2024 President’s List at Chadron State College The list consists of students with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. To qualify, students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester.

Chadron State College, which was founded in 1911, is the only four-year, regionally-accredited college in the western half of Nebraska. As a public institution with its roots in teacher education, Chadron State takes pride in its accessibility and affordability. More than 2,000 undergraduate, graduate and online students currently attend Chadron State.
