Howard Fix

Howard Duane Fix passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Haxtun Health Extended Care Unit at the age of 84.

He was born September 22, 1936 in Sterling to Adolph Elmer and Ruby Lillian (Cunningham) Fix. Howard grew up in Haxtun and graduated from Sterling High School. He went on to attend Northeastern Junior College while playing football for the Plainsmen.

Howard married Barbara Hendon in Sterling on July 8, 1956. Barbara recently passed away on Feb. 26, 2021. The couple lived on the family farm south of Haxtun where they raised their four sons. Howard loved farming, showing horses, au...
