Jeanie Faye (Boggs) Tauck was born on October 22, 1931, the fifth child of Leslie and Belva (Stanton) Boggs. There were five more brothers and sisters to follow. They grew up in a small house in Ekalaka, with few conveniences. They were a happy lot that loved music, especially their dad's fiddle playing.

Jeanie went to school in Ekalaka graduating in 1949, after which she worked in the courthouse for Walt Anderson, Sr. Jeanie married Lyle Tauck on November 27, 1951. They made their home in the Ridgway community, raising cattle, sheep, beautiful gardens and four children, Rosina, Jeff, Larry, and Lauri.

She was active in community organizations and church was very important to her as she followed Jesus' path for her life. Jeanie loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and followed their endeavors in life. Jeanie was a wonderful cook and baker and she also excelled at embroidery work making dozens of embroidered pillowcases for grandchildren and a lot of newlyweds. Reading was also her passion when she found a spare minute and even more so in her later years.

Lyle passed away in 1999 and she remained on the ranch until 2001 when she moved to Miles City to be closer to her sister Toodie and daughter Lauri and her family. In 2010, Jeanie moved to the Carter Manor in Ekalaka and then to the house she was raised in, in 2011. She took up residency in the Dahl Memorial Nursing Home in 2015 and remained there, a force to be reckoned with, until her passing.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; her son, Larry Tauck; parents Leslie and Belva Boggs; sisters Dorothy Womack, Wilma Stieg, Velma, Norma Lee and Florence "Toodie" Boggs; brothers, Donald, Lawrence and Vernon Boggs.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Rosina (Jack) Owen, Lauri (KC) Keith; son Jeff (Rena) Tauck; and daughter-in-law, Lora Tauck. Also nine grandsons, Rory (Katie) Owen, Wynn (Ashley) Tauck, John (Amanda) Owen, Kalan Tauck, Evan (Brittany) Tauck, Christopher (Sarah) Tauck, Chase (Shantel) Keith, JT (Stephani) Keith, Brett (Lisa) Keith; granddaughters Julie (Brandon) Hatling, Lindsee Tauck; step granddaughters Lindy and Kaily; 22 great-grandchildren; brother Robert Boggs and sister-in-law Linda Boggs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be given in honor of Jeanie to Dahl Memorial Activity Fund, Ekalaka Library, or another local charity of one's choice.
