State track

Eight CCHS student-athletes traveled to Laurel for the MHSA Class A-C State Track & Field meet last weekend. For the women, freshman Nasya O'Connor finished 24th in the 100m hurdle prelims and sophomore Danica Shepherd finished 22nd in the discus. Four of the men, J.W. Elmore, Zander Ashbrook, Ethan Frye and Avory Matthews competed in the 4x100 relay, finishing 22nd in the prelims. Freshman Chace Loehding-who described himself as being on 'injured reserve' after a case of appendicitis-served as manager, and fellow freshman Wyatt Melton traveled with the team as an alternate for the relay.
