    Three CCHS athletes competed at the MHSA Class C State Track and Field Meet in Missoula over the weekend. Freshman Ethan Frye competed on the men's side. Fellow freshman Brynn Loehding competed on the women's side, as did sophomore Katie Tooke. Frye ran a 19.47 in the 110 meter hurdle prelims, missing out on the finals.     Despite continued investment and efforts to fight illegal robocalls plaguing telephone customers, Mid-Rivers has recently noticed an increase in scam calls in the area that show up on caller ID as reputable local business names.     Area student athletes will have the opportunity to attend a basketball camp at Carter County High School later this month. Called the Summit Basketball Camp, and named in part for former University of Tennessee Women’s Coach Pat Summitt, the camp will be offered to boys and girls entering kindergarten through eighth grades.     As established in House Bill 396 signed during the 2021 legislative session, hemp and substances derived from hemp are now approved for use in commercial feed for pets, specialty pets, and horses in Montana, so long as they do not contain more than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC.     Amanda Jo Brence-Johnson, 38, passed away suddenly at her home on May 22, 2021. She was born April 20, 1983 to Dave and Vicki Brence. Amanda spent the first part of her years in Harding County, graduating from Newell High School. She married Kenny Johnson on Oct. 30, 2013, in Rapid City.
