The CCHS Bulldogs volleyball squad started their season at home last Saturday versus the Broadus Hawks. Broadus won the match in three sets, 18-25, 24-26 and 22-25. I have been thinking about my Grandpa Coons and about all of the things that he did that we, his grandkids, loved. I have been reading with interest the news articles about the disruption of the US Postal Service over the last week. I rely on the USPS to deliver several of my life-saving medications. The latest attempts by Postmaster General DeJoy and the Trump Administration to disrupt our access to the mail may delay my latest delivery of medication. There will not be an Annual Alzada Cowboy Poetry, Music and Art Show this year according to founders, Gay Arpan and Chris Maupin.
