Dawgs take on Longhorns

Last Friday, CCHS took on number one ranked Wibaux in a 6-man football game at Rowley Field. An emphasis for the Bulldog defense was to keep Tel Lunde, Wibaux's junior quarterback, from scrambling outside the pocket. They were able to hold him to only one rushing touchdown.

Blue's defense was solid in the early going. Part way through the second quarter, senior fullback Mason Lovec capped off a long Bulldog drive with a 3 yard touchdown run which brought them within one score.

Wibaux was able to score two more times before the half, once on a 50 yard run with only 36 seconds left.

In the second half, the Bulldogs allowed three more scores while failing to punch it in themselves. The game ended 6 - 49 in favor of Wibaux.

This Friday will be Blue's final home game. Kickoff will take place at 6 p.m. at Rowley Field. Their last game of the season will take place next Friday in Jordan.
