On Friday, the Lady Bulldogs opened their basketball season in Lavina against Reed Point-Rapelje. The girls controlled the majority of the contest, outscoring their opponent 17-1 in the second quarter, and winning by 33 points. Blue showed early season shooting troubles, shooting 36 percent on two-pointers, 17 percent on threes, and 24 percent from the free-throw line. However, they made up for it on defense, forcing 34 turnovers while only committing 18. They also out-rebounded Reed Point-Rapelje, 34-14.
