Blast off into summertime reading

Ekalaka Public Library is once again offering a summer reading program. All children ages three and up are invited to attend. This year’s theme is all about space.

Two different age groups will meet on Tuesdays, starting June 18, and continuing on June 25, July 2 and July 9.

Children ages three through seven will meet from 2 to 3 p.m. and children 8 and up will meet from 3 to 4 p.m. All preschool age children must be potty trained.

Stories will be read, crafts will be made and snacks will be eaten. Parents who are interested in having their child attend should contact Pat Kalstrom at the library, 775-6336, to get registered.

Items currently being collected for crafts include: paper towel tubes, plastic Easter eggs, cereal or cracker box cardboard and various sized containers (sour cream, cottage cheese, margarine, etc.).
