Hunter Education courses available in Region 7

There are still a couple of Hunter Education courses available in Region 7 prior to general hunting season. Students must be 10 years old by the first day of class. To register, visit the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks website at fwp.mt.gov, click on the Education tab, select Hunter Education and scroll down to Hunter Education Programs. There may be other courses scheduled later in the year, so interested individuals should check back for availability.

A hunter education course will take place in Terry from August 26 through August 30. The class will run from 6-8 p.m. each day at the Terry High School study hall room, top floor. Enrollment is limited to 25 students. Call instructor Jeremy Fowler at 406-486-5012 for more information.

A course will take place in Ekalaka on October 5 and 6. The class will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at Carter County Events Center. Class size is limited to 15 students. A field day will take place on Sunday. Students should dress appropriately for the weather and for hunting conditions. No online students will be accepted. Contact instructor Bud Powell to arrange book pickup before class at 406-775-6239 or pick up books at Wagon Wheel Café. Read and complete the chapter quizzes before class begins.
