Junior high football celebrates 2020 season

The Carter County junior high football team ended a successful year on October 6 with one final practice in which they ran from the school parking lot to the top of "C Hill" to celebrate their enjoyable season and new coaching staff.

Head coach Carson Hilliard and assistant Rusty Spencer led the team as they headed for the hill. Coach Ches Meyer was unable to attend, but was recognized as well by the group.

Eighth grade players made their mark on the hill and all the boys enjoyed the view below. An encouraging word was shared by each of the players and coaches as they enjoyed supper together. Appreciation for the coaching staff, the hard work of the players, the fun season and simply the opportunity to continue to play despite the setbacks of 2020 was the resounding theme. Several parents contributed to the event and made it a memorable wrap up to the short season.
