Lady Bulldogs shoot 45 free throws in win over Jordan

The Lady Bulldogs picked up a pair of conference wins before going on Christmas break. On December 21 in Wibaux, the Lady 'Dogs downed the Lady Longhorns, 56-33. As a team, CCHS shot 32 percent on two-point field goals and 29 percent from deep. They went 6 of 10 from the free throw line. Wibaux, meanwhile, went 6 of 21 from the line. CCHS had 16 assists and 11 steals, compared to only 11 total team turnovers. They also out-rebounded the Lady Longhorns, 28-25.

On December 23rd, Lady Blue defeated Jordan 60-47. CCHS had a strong start to the game, but floundered a bit in the third quarter as Jordan tied it up. A huge fourth quarter, especially from the charity stripe, led to 25 points for Blue while their defense held Jordan to only 12. The Lady Bulldogs shot 45 free throws in the game and made 28 of them, good enough for 62 percent. Jordan went 9 of 22 from the line. LaBree led the way on offense with 21 points and went 11-14 on free throws. Eighth grader Nasya O'Connor had a team-high 8 rebounds to go along with her 8 points.
