Energy and value-added agriculture funding Opportunities

Join the USDA Rural Development Business Development team to discuss federal funding opportunities available to rural small businesses and agricultural producers, focusing on available funding options for renewable energy/energy efficiency and agriculture production. This presentation will provide an overview of project and applicant eligibility and the processes, timelines, and priority points needed to create and submit successful applications for the Renewable Energy for America Program (REAP) and the Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG).

The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Energy Office will discuss energy efficiency and renewable energy technology 101, opportunities for energy savings and renewable energy production, as well as tax incentives and financing options for residential living and small businesses.

The workshop will take place Tuesday, February 8, at Gunner's Ridge in Glendive, Montana, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., one-on-one assistance will be available for anyone interested in applying for any discussed funding programs. There is no cost to participate, and lunch is provided.

9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m .: DEQ Presentation

11 a.m. - 12 p.m .: REAP Presentation

12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m .: VAPG Presentation

2 p.m. - 4 p.m .: application assistance for in-person attendees
