Bulldogs lose big to Dogies

The Forsyth Dogies handed the Bulldogs a big loss, 12-50, in what was basically a conference championship game in Forsyth last Friday. The Dogies scored early and often with a running attack where they continually tried to out-flank the Bulldogs with outside runs. The Bulldog defense was indeed porous, and most of Forsyth’s runs gashed Blue for big yardage.

The Bulldog offense was held scoreless for most of the game, but did manage a couple of late touchdowns. One came after a good drive when the Dogies still had all of their starters in on defense, the other came during the game’s final minutes as backups for both sides had taken the field.

With the loss, CCHS fell to 3-1 in the conference and 4-2 overall this season. They have secured a spot in the playoffs but will look to improve on both sides of the ball with games against St. Labre (conference) and Circle (non-conference) over the next two weeks. They will then have one week off before playoffs begin.
