We have been working on positionless offense so that every girl has the option to dribble, shoot or pass. These girls are quick to pick up the new drills we are giving them. We are setting goals during practice and for games, whether it is getting a certain amount of defensive and offensive rebounds or less than 10 turnovers or 30 baskets. Indian Summer descended upon Tie Creek and Capitol, this week. There was a day or two of breezy weather, but the days were mostly mild and sunny. Erma Albert had her last physical therapy appointment on Tuesday. She is now on her own. Keep up your exercises. On Thursday, Dick and Erma went to Spearfish for shopping. The Fallon-Carter Homemakers clubs learned about several cooking methods during the recent fall council meeting. The Diligent Doers Club hosted the meeting Oct. 4 at Camp Crook Community Center. Guest speakers followed the day’s theme “Prairie Cooking: Past and Present.” First, Tawni Cordell gave a presentation on Cast Iron Cooking. Jake Burghduff, the first defendant to be tried in the homicide case of Fallon resident Isaac Carrier, was sentenced on Tuesday, receiving a punishment that was far less than recommended by the prosecution. Sagebrush Service Club’s Annual Holiday Bazaar is quickly approaching. The event will take place on Saturday, November 18th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carter County High School gym.
