4-H news

The Gumbo Gophers 4-H club met on Tuesday, June 23 at the Alzada hall. Kodie Olsen from the extension showed us how to fit and show small animals. Members practiced on rabbits, chickens and cats. Members present were Keenan McInerney, Colyn and Clancy Higgins, Zander Oliver, Tylinn Thomas, Elizabeth and Grace Hall, Alivia Foxley, Joby and Rayna Owen, and Selah and Suri Johnston. Leaders present were Terri McInerney, Lisa Borchgrevink, Crystal Higgins and Thebea Thomas. Guests present were Val and Melissa Johnston, Kelsie and Chaz Gardner, Rhett Borchgrevink, Amanda and Declan Owen and Staci Hall.

Vice President, Colyn Higgins, called the meeting to order. Alivia Foxley led the pledges. Roll call was answered by naming something you are doing in your 4-H projects. Keenan McInerney gave the treasurer's report. It was decided to go to Orman Dam on July 24 for a fun lake day. Float ideas for the Carter County fair were discussed.
