    The CCHS Lady Bulldogs fell one game short of reaching the consolation game at the 2022 State Class C Girls' Basketball Tournament in Great Falls last weekend and ended their year with a 21-7 record.     Each year the Knights of Columbus sponsors a free throw contest for girls and boys ages 9 through 14. The contest takes place in multiple steps. The first step is the council competition in which contestants shoot 15 free throws in a row. Depending on their age and sex, each contestant shoots with a girls or boys ball from either 12 feet or 15 feet.     Youth baseball, softball and t-ball sign-ups for Baker programs are currently underway. Programs will be starting soon for this spring season. As there is no baseball field currently in Ekalaka, all Carter County youth are invited to participate in the Baker programs.     The Bulldogs overcame a six-point deficit at the end of the third quarter and beat the Longhorns by two on Saturday in Ekalaka. CCHS put up 18 points in the fourth, led by Chace Loehding who had 7 in the quarter. They had 20 turnovers in the contest and shot 11 of 21 from the free throw line.     CCHS JV boys played a basketball game at home versus Northern Cheyenne last Friday. Nine Bulldogs scored en route to a 79-42 victory. Blue shot 5 of 7 on free throws.     The CCHS Lady Bulldogs were on a roll Saturday when they defeated Wibaux at home by a 27 point margin. The offense was hitting on all cylinders as players hit shots from all over the floor.
